I have been able to develop a profound understanding of finance thanks to the many M&A and equity research tasks that are assigned to us. Indeed, during my spring internship at Schroders, I have found myself applying many of the principles that are taught to us as part of our duties at Clio.

From a non-finance background, Clio equity research has allowed me to gain invaluable exposure and technical knowledge in the field of investment banking. From Clio, I was informed of various opportunities such as Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley’s virtual event series. Besides that, I had also managed to get on NatWest’s wealth insight week.

Joining Clio as an Equity Research Analyst was one of the best decisions I had made as a first-year student. They made me aware of opportunities I didn't know existed and had access to information about different financial institutions which ultimately led me to securing a spring week with RBC.

When I mentioned my outstanding performance in Risk Analysis in Equity Research, the Santander interviewers were impressed, and I successfully landed my summer internship in the global bank under risk division.

My position as an equity research analyst at Clio allowed for me to grow vital hard and soft skills such as taking deep analysis of company financials and teamwork skills, which helped give me an edge in spring week applications, partaking in Aviva and RBC’s spring offerings.

Working for Clio as both an Analyst and Director was instrumental in securing Spring Week offers from Leading Institutions such as RBC, as well as procuring a summer internship at St James’s Place and Procter & Gamble in my first year at university.

Clio helped me stay up to date with finance internship application openings as well as prepare for the selection process and ultimately secure insight weeks at HSBC, Deloitte and Jane Street

During my enjoyable time as an Analyst and Director at Clio Finance, I was able to pick up key financial knowledge, commercial awareness and soft skills that bore fruit for me in the form of spring weeks at Houlihan Lokey, SIG and Bain Capital. Clio acted as the perfect bridge between my finance education and finance career.

From valuing a company during a stock pitch, to displaying teamwork in group tasks, Clio has played an integral part in preparing me to secure a role in Finance. Throughout my spring insight interviews and summer conversion assessment centres at Bank of America, my involvement with Clio enabled me to demonstrate my interest in the field.

Being a Clio Equity Research Director was a fantastic learning experience, as it enabled me to keep updated with market trends and research technicals while providing feedback to my team’s work! This improved my critical evaluation skills.

My position as an equity research analyst at Clio allowed me to enhance my transferrable skills. This included, but was not limited to, taking deep analysis of company financials and teamwork skills. This gave me a vital edge in spring week applications over other candidates, as demonstrated by my successful application for the HSBC spring insight programme.

Clio has been instrumental to my first-year spring week applications. Clio made it easy to keep track of the immense number of opportunities that came up every week but also allows you to build a network which makes a world of difference when facing long and trialling application processes.

Conducting Equity Research for Clio helped me to get to grips with the core technicals needed for Spring Week applications - from stock pitches to M&A synergies, I could not recommend the experience and learnings enough for future Spring Week applicants!

My favourite aspect of Clio is that it is created by students for students. Therefore, the support and advice is more specific and student orientated. I have developed my ability to create a successful application, and I’d highly recommend Clio to anyone looking to break into financial services.

Being an equity research analyst at Clio help me to gain a better understanding of the market and it certainly give me the opportunity to network with like-minded people in Clio.
